Hoofbeats Stables is located in beautiful Petaluma, California and is nestled in between vineyards and rolling hills. We are a horse sanctuary that takes in horses needing a forever home. We have been serving horses and people for over a decade and look forward to continuing our service many more years. Hoofbeats is a retirement sanctuary for horses and we are not able to offer any public programing. Our focus is on the horses and giving them the best life for the rest of their life.

Equine Guided Education
Equine Guided Education (EGE) encourages growth and learning though the 'Eyes of the Horse'. EGE integrates equine activities, kinesthetic learning cognitive insight in developing self responsibility, a healthy self-image, as well as social and relationship skills. EGE stands for the respectful integration of horses into human learning methods. We see that the horse does more than assist or facilitate learning, the horse actually "Guides"- (One who can find paths through unknown or unexplored territory) the process of "Education"-(Cultivation of mind and character through study or instruction).
